A drug used with encorafenib to treat melanoma that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery and has a certain mutation (change) in the BRAF gene. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Binimetinib blocks proteins called MEK1 and MEK2, which may help keep cancer cells from growing. It is a type of kinase inhibitor.
