Definition

A drug used to treat adults with advanced renal cell carcinoma (a type of kidney cancer) or advanced soft tissue sarcoma that has already been treated with other anticancer drugs. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Votrient blocks certain proteins, which may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow.
