A drug used alone or with other anticancer drugs to treat adults with certain types of acute myeloid leukemia, mast cell leukemia, or systemic mastocytosis. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. N-benzoyl-staurosporine blocks certain proteins, which may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. It may also prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. N-benzoyl-staurosporine is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor and a type of antiangiogenesis agent.
